Clothes and Household Items are Expensive

Everything is so expensive or if it isn't expensive these days they are made to rip, tear, break and throwaway. It wasn't always like that. Learning to repair or make clothing and other important household items are really good skills to have and ones to keep you busy especially during the winter months when there isn't much else to get on with other than stay warm.

Our workshops over a range of different ways to make and repair your own clothing and household accessories using a range of methods.

Contact us to discuss your needs and we will discuss options.

Repairs Can Be Decorative

Not all repairs have to be invisible, some can happily become a new feature of the item or even make them more exciting and show some of your originality.

Learn all kinds of new patches, darning, button sewing methods you can use to make good repairs to damaged clothing to give you more time to save for better quality new ones or fabric to make some.

You Can Have Nice Things

Don't let anyone tell you you can't have nice things because you have a rain water budget.

You may have to get inventive so you can make them yourself using bits and bobs you can forage and find but you can absolutely have nice things.

Make Your Own Clothing

Ok so you may not want to be quite so original as the hat above might make you but making your own clothes, learning to cut your own patterns and having the freedom to choose your own fabrics to suit your needs and style is absolutely one of the greatest skills you can have.

Just think, every piece an original made by you. That makes you a designer.
