If you want to learn the best of food preservation UK style in easy simple no nonsense terms, where you can cook along with the instructor ask questions while you are thinking of them, whilst gain confidence to be able to make the most of your harvests from your own gardens or making use of in season offers of food. Then you have come to the best place. 

 

For 2026 we are running our very first year of food preservation course.

Join Pam every third Saturday of the month via Zoom from January through to December. 

Learn the basics from pickling, jam making, bottling, fermentation and water bath canning. We take it at a steady beginners pace so you can gain maximum skills and confidence so you can walk before you run. 

 

By the end of the year you will have the skills to be able to make jams from any fruit, turn your hand to pickling any food item, be able to confidently bottle any sauce or condiment you would normally buy, make everything fermented from food stuffs to basic drinks and water bath can like a master not just over your normal cooking appliance but over outdoor fire pits as well. 

 

What you recieve :-

 

Every 3rd Saturday of the month we will run a full day workshop from 8am to 5pm including breaks run on Zoom. 

 

1 x Workshop manual per month. Each manual is at least 100 pages of instructional information and 100 recipes to cover the kind of food preservation covered in that months workshop.  This item is downloadable and printable at your convenience and will be sent through on the first monday of the month so you have it in plenty of time to attend the workshop. 

 

1 x one on one hour long session each month between session where you can ask anything about what you are struggling with or have questions about.
